Identification Kit 1 (Senior)
A beautiful Insect Identification kit developed in conjunction with
Lincoln University's Entomology and Animal Ecology Department.
Designed for use in mid-
to upper primary school and junior high school. The kit contains
eight identical A4, full colour, laminated cards portraying 10 of
the most common insects found around schools, homes and communities
of New Zealand. Each insect is identified by a colour picture, a
life size outline, its common and Maori names (where relevant),
its scientific name and a description of key features. Ideal for
field trips, living community studies and classification work. The
Teacher's Guide gives more details on each of the species. Best
used in conjunction with kits 2 and 3.
